Role Overview:

This is a full-time on-site role for working at Arumbakkam, Chennai office. 

 We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Content Writer to join our e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and high-quality content for our website, product descriptions, blog posts, email campaigns, image creation & editing, video creation, social media, and other digital platforms. 

 The content should not only resonate with our audience but also drive traffic, increase conversion rates, and improve overall SEO performance.

 Key Responsibilities:

·       Write, edit, and proofread clear, engaging, and persuasive web content for the company’s e-commerce website, including product descriptions, landing pages, blogs, and FAQs.

·       Optimize web content using SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and user engagement.

·       Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop content that aligns with the brand's voice and business goals.

·       Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience to produce relevant and compelling content.

·       Regularly update website content and ensure that it is current and accurate.

·       Create compelling calls to action (CTAs) to encourage user interaction and conversions.

·       Assist in developing and executing content strategies for email marketing campaigns and social media.

·       Analyze web traffic data and user behavior to adjust and improve content effectiveness.

·       Work with the technical team to ensure content is properly formatted and displayed on various devices.

Education: 

·       Bachelor’s or master's degree (BA/BSC/MA/BBA/MBA/BS/MFA) in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Education, Public Relations, Computers, Computer Applications, Business, Creative Writing, Technical Writing, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English Literature or a related field.

Experience:

·        Candidates with no experience or 1-2 years of experience as web content writers, preferably in the e-commerce industry, are encouraged to apply.

·       Strong portfolio showcasing written content, especially for digital platforms is preferred.

Skills:

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.

·       Proficient in SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization techniques.

·       Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress, Shopify, Magento, etc.

·       Ability to conduct thorough research on products and industry trends.
